Dr.Mutaz AlKhnifsawi is a preventive cardiologist (M.Sc.), he is the president of the Iraqi lipid clinics network and the founder of the first lipid clinic in Iraq in 2017. Dr.AlKhnifsawi is a member of the International atherosclerosis society regional federation ( MENA and Africa), a member of the Familial Hypercholesterolemia advocacy group in the world heart federation, a National lead investigator at the Familial Hypercholesterolemia study collaboration (European Atherosclerosis Society), Member of the international lipid experts panel, a member in the Familial Hypercholesterolemia advisory board ( MENA and Africa). His main research interest is in Familial Hypercholesterolemia, familial lipid disorders, and preventive cardiology. Currently, Dr. AlKhnifsawi is responsible for the international familial Hypercholesterolemia awareness campaign in MENA and Africa, in 2018, Dr. Alkhnifsawi was awarded the best recognition award from the international atherosclerosis society and Oman society for lipid and atherosclerosis for establishing the Iraqi Lipid clinics network.
